the short version

Software developer in Berlin. C#, Java, PHP. Server-side by conviction, not by fashion. I build small, finished systems and hand them over in working order.

the longer version

First registered business at sixteen. Since then: software, agriculture, military service, and software again, a route that turned out to be excellent training in telling real problems from decorative ones. Before ORMs were fashionable, I wrote a LISP interpreter into a custom engine, because the engine needed a language more than I needed a library.

on the craft

Programming is an art. Not an opinion held loudly, but a method held daily.

The tools change; the invariants don't. Which is why this page is plain PHP behind Nginx, weighs almost nothing, and will still open in twenty years.
